Skymeter seeks to be an integral part of your transportation management plans. The diagram below displays Skymeter’s role in a typical road-use charging, parking or PAYD insurance system. This system has been designed to ensure minimal cost of implementation and operation as well as to ensure protection of privacy and security of data.

To ensure that a wide range of user needs are met and that our road-pricing is enforced, Skymeter would be part of a pricing system that offers three levels of payment:

• In-Vehicle Sensor (Skymeter)
• Guest Pass
• Enforcement 

In-Vehicle Sensor: This is what Skymeter does, providing road-use charging based on Time, Distance and Place.

Guest Pass: A flat-rate alternative for visitors and users who do not wish to be charged based on distance (See User Security ).

Enforcement: Ensures that users have either a sensor or a guest pass. Those who don’t are fined.
