Sales Assistant/Project Planner
Skymeter is hiring a contract sales assistant/project planner, preferably to start February 1, 2011. The position will start with a three month contract at $3,000/month, with the potential to transition to full-time work in the right circumstances.
Responsibilities:
- structure and support Skymeter's international sales efforts
- manage customer database, including data entry
- draft and track progress on project/service plans
- do international market studies and identify potential targets
- phone potential customers to identify contacts and set meetings
Hard Skills Required:
- good computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Powerpoint
- good spreadsheet/Excel skills
- project planning/Microsoft Project skills an asset
- experience at customer service an asset
- French, Spanish, Mandarin, Dutch or other languages an asset
Soft Skills Required:
- positive, friendly and engaging personality
- highly self-motivated
- rigorous at following procedure
- strong sense of responsibility and desire to get things done properly
- able to effectively and respectfully manage your boss
- cooperative and willing to contribute, regardless of task
- prepared to challenge and speak up if something is not right
